Kobayashi could make history

FIS Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping World Cup races in Val di Fiemme
Today the first Ski Jumping race at the Ski Jumping Arena in Predazzo
1st Ryoyu Kobayashi, 2nd Kubacki, 3rd Stoch
Tomorrow the second race starting from 5 pm

"Ryoyu Kobayashi is very talented, it’s incredible especially for a 21-year-old boy," stated Kamil Stoch, who won three Olympic gold medals and two world gold medals.
Today, immediately after the Nordic Combined competition, the Japanese performed another incredible show in the Ski Jumping World Cup race at the Ski Jumping arena of Predazzo in Val di Fiemme. In the two competition rounds Kobayashi – who was literally in a state of grace - was able to score 315 points: "I am satisfied with my jump, I like this hill very much. The first day I had some difficulties during the PCR, but today I was able to jump very well. The secret is simply to have fun while jumping, and that's also the reason for my success. If I have to think about something to work on for tomorrow's competition, I'd say landing, I hope I don't fall again!” After his performance, the Japanese fell ruinously on the ground while he rejoiced; but the congratulations are all for him. Second place for the Polish Dawid Kubacki (288.5), who is also stealing the show from his multi-titled teammate Kamil Stoch, who finished third (282.9). The atmosphere with the fans was really beautiful; on the stands there were many fans from all over the world, especially thanks to a large representation of Poles and Slovenes to cheer for their athletes. 3000 people attended the event, a success that strengthens the possibility to see Val di Fiemme also in the next years, the Ski Jumping World Cup returned to Val di Fiemme to stay. Tomorrow, starting at 5 p.m., a new race on the HS 135.
The Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi could really make history. If he were to win tomorrow, in fact, it would be his seventh success in a row. Nobody has ever succeeded in this performance in the Ski Jumping history: "I prefer not to think about it," he says, but he could be the first of the "7 Samurai".
