As title sponsor of the FIS Cross Country World Cup, Coop Norway is encouraged to support the whole cross-country family. In this sense, the company not only cares about the elite of the sport but also about the kids. The support of children is a general concern for Coop Norway.
Most World Cup LOCs organize a kids’ race as part of the FIS Cross Country World Cup weekend. Coop wants to take up on that and support the kids’ event in form of a “Mini World Cup”.
The aim of the Mini World Cup is to make the little ones look and feel like the big ones. By providing various installations, bibs and medals for each kid, which are designed along the line of the “big” World Cup installations, the infrastructure of the kids’ races is professionalized. Even an own Mini World Cup logo has been created. This visual upgrade of the race will create an unforgettable experience for the kids and promote the cross-country sport for the little ones.
Together with Le Gruyère AOP, Coop thrives to expand the concept of the Mini World Cup in the next years among the World Cup destinations in order to support the young talents and upgrade the World Cup weekends. The event is included inside the Snowkids programme.
Saturday 6th January starting at 9.30, at the Cross-Country Stadium in Lago di Tesero, takes place the promotional "gimkana", an obstacle course. The start is individual, but it's just a game... the keyword is FUN!
The entry fee is € 5,00 to be paid by the bib & "race package" pick-up, starting from 9.30, at the info point inside the stadium. At the Fiemme Party Tent will be served a Baby Menù, for a special price reserved to the participants.
All children born between 2012 and 2018 can partecipate.
