The Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Torches are still at the Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium this evening to watch the Individual event on the HS143, which saw the women compete on the renovated Trentino hill. A surprising Anna Odine Strøm (NOR) stole the show, the applause and the stage victory in the 2025 FIS Summer Grand Prix.
Between the lights of a wonderful sunny day, the competition on the large hill in the Stalimen venue took place, and the two-time team world champion Anna Odine Strøm performed brilliantly. The Norwegian recorded the best score in both the first and the second jump, with distances of 124 and 130.5 metres, which, taking into account the wind factor and the judges' scores, earned her the competition with a total score of 230.8 points. Behind the Norwegian was an all-Japanese double, with the Japanese team managing to place five athletes in the top eight in the Predazzo competition. Yuka Seto occupied the 2nd position of the podium, preceding the teammate Nozomi Maruyama, who after today’s performance can still celebrate her lengthening lead in the overall FIS Summer Grand Prix 2025 ranking over Slovenia's Nika Prevc, today 4th after a 2nd jump of as much as 129 metres, but without managing to finish the technical move with one of the precise and clean telemarks that the 2005-born jumper is accustomed to.
In the end, on the podium, in the presence of the renovated ramps of the G. Dal Ben Stadium, which next February will award the golden medals of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, the skis of the three protagonists stood out “crookedly”. They were measured personally according to the height of each athlete and placed at different levels between the steps of the podium, creating an unusual harmony in the Fiemme parterre.
Tonight, the action continued on the HS143 hill at the Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium with the men's competition that started at 8.30 p.m., organised by the Nordic Ski Val di Fiemme organising committee and its volunteers.
