Oestberg masters the "Red Army" at Tour de Ski

The Mass Start goes to Norway

Tour de Ski today and tomorrow in Val di Fiemme
Ingvild Flugstad Østberg wins ahead of Nepryaeva and Sedova
The winners of the 13th edition will be crowned tomorrow after the last stage on Alpe Cermis

Ingvild Flugstad Østberg, who is the current leader of Tour de Ski, has won today's Mass Start in Lago di Tesero, the penultimate stage of Tour de Ski; as always, the final stages of the tour are held in Val di Fiemme (Italy). In view of tomorrow's Final Climb on the Olimpia III ski slope of Alpe Cermis, Norway’s Østberg now has a 53.4 advantage over the direct chaser Nepryaeva. Today's stage was exciting, at least in the first part: Oestberg was hindered first by the Finn Krista Parmakoski, then by the other Norwegian Heidi Weng, who last year stole her the final victory. Oestberg’s nightmares have been swept away by a constant performance; in the final part of the race she also managed to master the fierce Russian Natalia Nepryaeva (2nd) and Anastasia Sedova (3rd), reaching the finish line alone. Weng finished sixth, the American Jessica Diggins seventh. Tomorrow, starting from 1.00 pm there will be the last stage on the Olimpia III ski slope which will crown the champions of the 13th edition of Tour de Ski.
