FIS NORDIC WORLD SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS
FIEMME 2013
FIS NORDIC WORLD SKI CHAMPIONHIPS

Fiemme 2013 has been an inportat opportunity for Val di FIemme to best introduce itself as tourist resort and organising body of world events, but, most of all, as lively valley which takes care of the quality of life, both for its inhabitants and its guests, That's why the slogan of the Organising Committee is: Vallevviva.

In addition to the more strictly sporting aspects, the Fiemme 2013 World Championships should also be seen as a platform where the most innovative technologies of those years were tested, such as fiber optics, to facilitate secure and fast communication, and some apps developed for the tourism system, so as to offer all those who wanted to follow the event a new, increasingly social and personalized way of experiencing the event.

In view of the World Championships 2013, the OC together with Provincia Autonoma di Trento, all the municipalities of the valley, Comprensorio, Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme, Fiemme Tourist Board signed a protocol of agreement called "Environment as space for life"

The wood production chain, using raw materials grown in environmental-friendly forests, produced all tools to coherently underline the choise of using local wood. The PEFC brand - the most common forestry certification system of the world - guaranteed such an ecological and forward-looking choice of the OC. The TV building and the gangway in Lago di Tesero (with the temporary structures and welcome totems), the podium for the prize-giving ceremonies and the accreditation area in Cavalese, the auditorium inside
Gallerie di Piedicastello in Trento, where there was the Ski Past exhibition, all trophies and wooden road signals placed in Val di Fiemme (43 pieces) and in the motorway A22 (31 pieces), the paper used for the press releases and promotional material: each one of these tools were realized in compliance with PEFC certificates.
