Soaring high in Val di Fiemme! Another big weekend is approaching on the Trentino valley’s winter sports calendar, this time featuring spectacular jumps, thrilling flights, and heart-stopping landings: on December 19 and 20, Predazzo will host the men’s Ski Jumping Continental Cup.
The international circuit—second in prestige only to the World Cup—will make a stop in the heart of the Trentino Dolomites for the sixth event on the calendar and third of a winter season that will kick off on December 8 in Finland. Ski jumpers from all over the world will return to defy gravity on the Olympic Large Hill HS 141 at the G. Dal Ben Ski Jumping Stadium in Predazzo, a venue still steeped in the excitement of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games and the prestigious medals awarded there. The imposing HS 141 jumping hill will take centre stage at the Val di Fiemme leg of the Continental Cup, with two days dedicated to individual competitions. The events will begin on the morning of Saturday, December 19, with the official training sessions, before the action takes off at 17:50 with the first competition round, followed by the second and decisive competition round scheduled for 18:50. On Sunday, the athletes will compete early in the morning, with the first round starting at 9:20 and the second at 10:20.
With the Continental Cup summer season, which began in September in Stams, Austria, and continued in Germany at Hinterzarten and Klingenthal, now over, Clemens Aigner was once again the undisputed star. The Austrian ski jumper born in 1993, went six for six, dominating every event of the 2026 Summer Continental Cup. Aigner’s achievements include three overall Continental Cup titles and four seasonal victories, as well as one World Cup win and four podium finishes. Behind him were his compatriots Raffael Zimmermann and Lukas Haagen, completing an all-Austrian podium that once again confirms the discipline’s long-standing tradition of excellence among Austrian ski jumpers.
Among the protagonists of the summer stages was also the Slovenian reigning World Cup champion and two-time Olympic champion—who won his titles right here in Predazzo—Domen Prevc, who finished the event in 7th place, partly due to a disqualification in the final competition for an equipment violation.
As for the Italian team, young Maximilian Gartner competed in the first Austrian stop, while Francesco Cecon, Giovanni Bresadola, and Alex Insam competed only in the final event in Klingenthal.
Nordic Ski Val di Fiemme, led by President Pietro De Godenz, is organizing the only Italian stop of the Ski Jumping Continental Cup. The staff’s preparations are in full swing and also include the Nordic Combined events, with the World Cup circuit set to arrive in the Olympic valley from December 11 to 13, as well as the traditional final stage of the Tour de Ski, which will take place from January 8 to 10, 2027.
Nordic Ski Val di Fiemme also confirms its partnership with US Dolomitica of Predazzo and US Cornacci, two local clubs active in the world of Nordic skiing. Together with US Dolomitica, the Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined FESA CUP stage is scheduled for October 16–18, along with the Italian Championships for both disciplines on October 31. In collaboration with US Cornacci, meanwhile, the support will focus on the Italian Cross-Country Skiing Championships, scheduled for the weekend of January 16 and 17.
