Today in Val di Fiemme the women’s Individual Gundersen crowns Finland Between the HS109 in Predazzo and the streets of Ziano di Fiemme the best is Korhonen To Nathalie Armbruster (GER) the FIS Summer Grand Prix 2025 trophy The success of the Olympic Test Event continues with the Nordic Ski Val di Fiemme OC

Today at the FIS Nordic Summer Festival in Val di Fiemme, it is the turn of the women’s Nordic Combined to leave a mark on the world of the Nordic disciplines. In the Individual Gundersen, between the Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium (HS109) and the streets in the centre of Ziano di Fiemme (5 km), the winner was Minja Korhonen (FIN), ahead of Yuna Kasai (JPN) and Heta Hirvonen (FIN), while the German Nathalie Armbruster conquered the precious FIS Summer Grand Prix 2025 trophy

The head-to-head between Kasai (JPN) and Korhonen (FIN) started with the jumping fraction. At the G. Dal Ben stadium of Predazzo, the two ranked in 1st and 2nd position, distanced just by a decimal point in the ranking (128,6 points for Kasai and 128,5 for Korhonen), which saw them sprinting together also in Nazionale street in Ziano di Fiemme.

Shyer was the jump of Nathalie Armbruster (GER), who had the yellow bib of the leader to defend. However, she did not go beyond the 9th position on the HS109, under the attentive gaze of the Olympic and Paralympic Torch of Milano Cortina 2026 and between the applause of the warm public at the stadium in Trentino, which today gathered also over 450 students of the schools of Predazzo.

In the early afternoon, the competition moved through the streets of Ziano di Fiemme. During the two rounds of the urban circuit, the leading duo formed by Kasai and Korhonen managed to maintain their advantage over the rest of the participants, who started with bigger gaps depending on their position in the Ski Jumping ranking. In the final sprint, the Finnish athlete's explosive speed paid off, beating the Japanese athlete to the finish line by a few seconds. The “Suomi” celebration in Ziano was completed by the 3rd place of Finland's Heta Hirvonen, who also beat Nathalie Armbruster (GER). The wooden medal won by the German still allowed her to get her hands on the coveted FIS Summer Grand Prix 2025 trophy, which rewarded the Nordic Combined skier of the top event of the summer. Noteworthy in today’s ranking was the impressive recovery of Ema Volavsek: the Slovenian, 14th after the jump, climbed positions on roller skis to finish her Individual Gundersen in 6th place.

After their

Once their efforts on the track, or rather on the road, were over, the FIS Nordic Summer Festival Nordic Combined athletes handed over the stage in Ziano di Fiemme to the roller skiers, who are busy with the qualifiers and finals of the 200-metre sprint. There is no shortage of excitement in the capital of summer cross-country skiing, and thanks to the considerable efforts of the local organising committee and its hard-working volunteers, every event takes place safely.

While today's competitive programme ends late in the evening after the Roller-skiing sprint with the qualification rounds of Ski Jumping on the HS143 (from 6 p.m. for women and 9.30 p.m. for men), the side events are also more exciting than ever. The mascots of the Olympic Games Tina & Milo, have already entertained the school classes of Predazzo in the morning, while at the Fiemme Party Tent at the Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium it is time for Septemberfest with a varied selection of local food and wine specialities and Tyrolean music by “Die Schilcherland Buam” to anticipate the end of the evening with a DJ set by FUN!LAB.

Tomorrow there will be three sporting events in Val di Fiemme: the Mixed Team of Nordic Combined, the Team Sprint Mix of Roller-skiing and the Individual on the HS143 of Ski Jumping. All emotions to be experienced in the presence of the Dolomites towards the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
