Also on the occasion of the 20th edition, the one which will inaugurate the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games winter season, Val di Fiemme will host the cross-country elite in a two-day event not to be missed, scheduled for Saturday, January 3 and Sunday 4, 2026.
During the recent and traditional FIS Meetings held in Vilamoura, Portugal, the federal leadership have confirmed the central role of Val di Fiemme within the competitive calendar for the upcoming season by setting the first weekend of January as the final stage of the Tour de Ski number 20. On Saturday, January 3, the Cross-Country Stadium of Lago di Tesero will be animated by the dynamic format of the Sprint in classic technique that will see the best specialists of the discipline compete on the tracks. On Sunday, January 4, to award the coveted Tour de Ski trophy for the 20th time in 20 editions will be the timeless and iconic Cermis Final Climb. The fierce challenge that leads the cross-country skiers to climb the ramps of the alpine skiing slope Olimpia III of the Alpe Cermis of Cavalese will decide the new winners, giving the public, both those who will follow the exciting race from the snows of Trentino and those who will enjoy the show live on TV at home, a fascinating and timeless race.
The final stage of the Tour de Ski in Val di Fiemme will have the honour and the burden of preceding the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, the great event that will make Val di Fiemme shine worldwide. On this occasion, it is a pleasure to remind that the free sale of tickets is now open to watch the cross-country skiing, ski jumping and Nordic combined competitions of the Olympic events that will take place at the Cross-Country Stadium of Lago di Tesero and the Ski Jumping Stadium of Predazzo (February 6-22). Similarly, coupons are available for the Paralympic cross-country skiing and Paralympic biathlon events (March 6-15).
