For the first time ever, the Olympic Games are bringing a spectacular 300-drone show to Val di Fiemme, thanks to the organisation of APT Fiemme Cembra and the Municipality of Tesero, in collaboration with the Autonomous Province of Trento.
On Sunday 22 February, celebrations for the closing of the Winter Olympic Games in Val di Fiemme will begin at 6:00 pm with a parade through the streets of the village led by the Banda Storta, a lively group of musicians known for igniting the atmosphere with energetic rhythms and improvisation.
The event will also be an opportunity to celebrate the Unione Sportiva Cornacci of Tesero, which for 80 years has contributed to the sporting development of young people in the community by organising sports courses and events in the village.
After 7:30 pm, from a meadow below the Pedonda area, a fleet of 300 drones will take off to create luminous choreographies in the sky above Piazza Cesare Battisti, perfectly synchronised with a musical soundtrack.
For ten unforgettable minutes, the village will look skyward to witness a show never before seen in the valleys of Trentino.
Tesero, already a key Olympic venue with its Cross-Country Ski Stadium under the spotlight of the world, is preparing to build a bridge between tradition and the future, transforming the sky above the square into a luminous canvas.
Coordinated by sophisticated control systems, the 300 drones will move in perfect synchrony to create shapes, symbols and messages dedicated to the Olympic Games, Tesero and Val di Fiemme, highlighting not only the area’s sporting spirit but also its musical heritage, with explicit references to the famous “Forests of Violins.” A message of peace will also appear in the sky.
The event will pay tribute to a technology that has made the Winter Olympic Games more spectacular than ever, including through emotionally powerful television footage. With their speed and precision, drones have offered breathtaking and unprecedented perspectives of the sports venues and snow-covered landscapes, showcasing the beauty of Val di Fiemme and the intensity of the competitions.
