Celebration in Val di Fiemme in the morning today: it is back to jumping at the Ski Jumping Stadium of Predazzo, marking a fundamental step for the Trentino valley towards the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in the presence of provincial and local authorities.

Ski jumpers of the Italian national Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined teams made their debut on the renovated jumping hills of the G. Dal Ben Ski Jumping Stadium. Annika Sieff was the first to inaugurate the jumps from the HS143 hill, the largest ramp in the renovated facility in Stalimen, with Iacopo Bortolas, a Nordic Combined skier, jumping from the HS109, then followed by numerous national teammates.

There was a tremendous amount of enthusiasm among the authorities present, including the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, FISI President Flavio Roda, the Mayor of Predazzo, Paolo Boninsegna, the representative of the Autonomous Province of Trento in the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, Tito Giovannini, and the president of the local organising committee Nordic Ski Val di Fiemme, Pietro De Godenz. Accompanying the athletes were the national team Technical Director, Ivo Pertile and FIS Race Director of Ski Jumping, Sandro Pertile.

The first international competition to be hosted in the renovated Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium will be the women's and men's individual competition on the HS109 on Thursday, September 18th: the event that will open the dances of the FIS Nordic Summer Festival, a unique event that will involve Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined and Roller-skiing specialists from September 18 to 21 in Val di Fiemme. In winter, on the other hand, the appointment will be on December 23rd, for the Italian OPEN Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Championships, anticipating the Tour de Ski (Cross-Country Skiing World Cup) races and then, of course, the competitions of the rich programme of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
