Nevertheless, what would the Tour de Ski be without Val di Fiemme? This is why even in the World Championships’ year, the last two stages of the 2012/2013 Tour de Ski will take place in this valley, which has marked the recent history of cross-country.

On the 5th of January 2013, the best athletes in the World will land in Val di Fiemme for the second-last stage of the Tour: a classic technique mass-start on the distances of 10 km for ladies and 15 km for men.

In the past, this stage proved to be crucial to decide the positions right before the tremendous final-climb. Besides, this stage will be the last chance for the athletes to test-out the tracks where some weeks later will be at stake precious and important medals.

A crucial test, both from a tactical and physical point of view.
